Electric go karts Australia: find your kind of ride.
Shopping for an electric go cart? Start with where you will ride. Compare the Menace adult drift cart with the Volt Hog off-road buggy, then check fit, controls and ownership before choosing.

“Go kart” and “go cart” are common names for a four-wheel ride with a low seat. But a cart made for controlled slides and a buggy designed for uneven ground have different priorities. More motor power does not make one model the right choice for every surface or rider.
Choose the Menace if you want a steering-wheel electric drift kart for an experienced adult. Choose the Volt Hog if your priority is suitable dirt, grass and gravel, with suspension and off-road tyres. Both are intended for suitable private property and designated riding areas.

For the slide
Menace drift cart
A 3000W QS motor, 72V 52Ah lithium battery and FarDriver controller power a rigid 4130 steel chassis. Rear drift rings, a steering wheel and pedals create a dedicated drift setup.
For experienced riders aged 18+. Check the 1950 × 950 × 650 mm dimensions, control reach and 200 kg maximum rider capacity before ordering.

For uneven ground
Volt Hog buggy
A 1000W brushless motor and 48V 20Ah lead-acid battery drive the rear wheels through a gearbox and shaft. Four-wheel independent suspension, off-road tyres and 220 mm ground clearance suit a different kind of ride.
Handlebars and a twist throttle replace kart-style steering and pedals. Check fit and manufacturer age guidance with our team, particularly for a younger rider.

Five checks before you buy an adult electric go kart
- Match the riding area. Consider surface, available space, obstacles and permission to ride. The Menace’s rigid drift setup is different from the Volt Hog’s suspended off-road chassis.
- Check fit, not just weight. Confirm comfortable steering, throttle and brake reach. Ask our team about dimensions and suitability before placing an order.
- Understand the battery. Menace uses lithium; Volt Hog uses lead-acid. Follow the supplied charging and storage instructions. Amp-hour ratings alone are not a promise of equal riding time.
- Plan setup and maintenance. Confirm final assembly steps, charger details and checks before the first ride. Allow for tyre, brake and drivetrain inspection as described in the supplied instructions.
- Check support and delivery. Read the current shipping information and warranty terms. Use the product listing for live pricing and availability.
Electric go kart questions
Is an electric drift kart suitable for children?
The Menace is intended for experienced adult riders aged 18+. A lower speed setting does not change that intended use. For the Volt Hog, contact us to confirm manufacturer age guidance, rider fit and control reach before buying for a younger rider.
Can I use either model on a public road?
These models are sold for suitable private property and designated riding areas, not public-road use. Confirm that your chosen location permits the vehicle and follow the supplied riding instructions.
How long will an electric go kart run per charge?
Riding time depends on rider weight, surface, speed setting, battery condition and riding style. We do not quote a universal runtime. Ask our team about your planned use and the current model specification.
Which is better for drifting versus rough ground?
The Menace has rear drift rings and a rigid chassis for its drift-focused setup. The Volt Hog has suspension and off-road tyres for suitable uneven ground. Read our electric buggy and off-road buying guide for the terrain-focused comparison.
